Director of Music & Worship
Rev. Carolyn J. Anderson joined the exciting staff at Easter Hill UMC as their Director of Music and Worship in November 2023. Her unending energy and excitement has drawn singers, dancers, and musicians to our ever-growing church community. She has presented music that supports Pastor Dale and each special and seasonal celebration that have been enjoyed by all! This marriage of ministry and worship has indeed inspired and enhanced congregational worship and fellowship, engaging all age levels in a variety of musical experiences and education. She has proven her platform of a full and complete sensory worship experience is truly one of the most important parts of a meaningful corporate and personal worship and spiritual growth as it supports the spoken Word.
Rev. Anderson is a Three-time Grammy nominee, inducted as a Fellow of the Black Theology and Leadership Institute at Princeton Theological Seminary, and recognized for her contributions to vibrant and exciting gospel concerts in the United States, France, and South Africa. Rev. Anderson is considered one of the most stimulating and energetic music clinicians today, and is recognized as a visionary in both classical keyboard education and choral conducting. In June 2019, she was awarded the Parfee Family Music Scholarship of the Year, the first African American recipient; the esteemed “Achievement Fellowship Award” from the University of Redlands-2020; and is presently completing her Doctoral journey at the same university.
