The mission of this ministry is to address hunger within the local community and beyond, answering God’s call to care for those in need. “For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat” (Matthew 25:35). Members serve individuals experiencing homelessness at the GRIP (Greater Richmond Interfaith Program) Souper Center once a month on the 3rd Saturday, living out the command to “share your food with the hungry” (Isaiah 58:7).
In partnership with various charities and through grants from the city, county, and state, this ministry provides gift cards for food during multiple seasons throughout the year, remembering that “whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord” (Proverbs 19:17).
Other Ministries:
- Angel Tree — “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress” (James 1:27).
- Blessing Bags
- Food for Thought — “Give, and it will be given to you” (Luke 6:38).
