“Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study” is the first course of a five year guided Bible study initiating a journey that includes homework assignments to prepare for discussion of the Bible that will challenge you to increase and expand your knowledge and understanding of the Word of God. From Genesis to Revelations, this thirty-four weeks course of study and discussion will increase your knowledge and understanding, as well as expand your comprehension of the old and new testaments lessons and meanings. The five-year courses include:
- Disciple I: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study
- Disciple II: Into The Word Into The World
- Disciple III: Remember Who You Are
- Disciple IV: Under The Tree of Life
- Disciple V: Jesus In the Gospels
Each 30 to 34 week course includes a weekly two and one-half hour class that includes videos and facilitator guided lively debate and group discussion. Starting in Genesis, study the mysteries of the Garden, Mosaic Law, Abraham’s purpose, Job’s faithfulness, Ruth’s story and the Prophet’s warnings; then on to the Synoptic messages of Matthew, Mark and Luke; John’s promise, Mary’s grace, Paul’s journeys and John’s Revelations – leading to the final course, “Jesus In The Gospels” which concentrates on the study of His life as seen through Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and provides a comparative analysis to study Jesus’ life through the eyes of each of these great disciples.
One does not have to be a member of Easter Hill church to attend these classes. However, the classes require a commitment of from 30 to 34 weeks of study per year and the purchase of class-required books. Missed classes are up to the participant to make-up.
