Apryle Stanley was born in San Francisco to a musical family. Her mother was a church musician while her father owned a record store. She began piano lessons in classical music at 5 years old and quickly learned to love all genres. Apryle attended School of the Arts High School where she excelled in its piano and vocal programs. She graduated from Notre Dame de Namur University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with Community and Criminal Justice and a minor in music.
For over 25 years, she has taught, directed, and provided piano accompaniment for various church services in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME), Baptist, Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME), and Church of Christ Holiness, U.S.A denominations. She has sung with and accompanied vocalists at Yoshi’s Jazz Club, Tommy T’s Comedy Club, Bayview Opera House, the Paramount Theatre and other venues.
She is a section leader in the Far Western Region’s music committee for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® where she teaches choral music, records and provides piano accompaniment to its regional choir.
Her musical background in gospel, rhythm & blues, soul, pop, classical and jazz allows her to enthusiastically fuse genres to create Christian music that helps to elevate the worship experience.
